Information Governance - Data Awareness e-Learning
e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) have created data awareness e-learning which is freely available for social care providers as part of e-LfH’s statutory and mandatory training programme.
This training is not mandatory for social care providers but is a good resource to use to train staff. The Level One training is at a suitable level to provide all staff with a good understanding of information governance, data security and their responsibilities under national legislation. This will also satisfy basic training requirements in the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
Data Security Awareness Level One can be accessed here.
How to register
When setting up your organisation for the first time, you will need to talk directly to the e-LfH support team so that they can register you. You may be asked for your ODS code or for your Skills for Care NMDS-SC registration code.
Some organisations will not have an ODS code set up for them already – if this turns out to be the case then you should email email@example.com and ask them to provide you with a code.
