The Employment Rights Bill

December 1, 2025

, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM GMT

The Employment Rights Bill (ERB) has generated significant interest across the care sector, particularly as attention has often centred on the proposed Fair Pay Agreement (FPA). However, there are a range of other measures within the Bill that will have direct implications for care providers and their workforce. These include day one rights, stronger protections against unfair dismissal, enhanced rights for flexible working, reforms on zero‑hours and insecure contracts, trade union rights reform and more.

This webinar aimed to:

  • Help providers understand the Employment Rights Bill beyond the FPA
  • Clarify some of the practical implications for workforce planning, HR policies, and contractual arrangements.
  • Highlight some of the key issues that the sector is facing when it comes to the ERB
  • Encourage the care sector to engage with ERB consultation.

The Bill’s progression through parliament, as well as the launch of several ERB consultations, has prompted a flurry of queries from providers and stakeholders who are seeking clarity on how these measures will be implemented in practice, and how regulators and enforcement bodies will interpret their responsibilities.
