This winter, the Department for Health and Social Care is asking for your support in promoting uptake of flu, COVID-19, RSV and pneumococcal vaccines among colleagues and people who draw on care and support.
Vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to help reduce the impact of seasonal illness and protect vulnerable people across health and care settings.
It has sent out a letter to Local Authority Chief Executives, Directors of Adult Social Services, Directors of Public Health, Adult Social Care Provider Representatives and Hospice provider representatives outlining:
- Who is eligible for each vaccine
- How to access vaccinations
- Refreshed and targeted resources to support local communication
Download the letter here.
This letter can also be found in our Resource Library in the Vaccination folder.
In addition to this DHSC has also worked in collaboration with UKHSA to produce a series of leaflets and guidance to promote vaccination, as well as a poster, with 5 reasons to get vaccinated. Find out more on the UKHSA website here.
